Jim Hoyes

James Hoyes has a long track record of creating strategies and driving exceptional performance in the life sciences sector. He focuses on corporate development initiatives in the life sciences sector and implementing key strategic initiatives designed to scale up the firm’s global operations. Jim has deep expertise in all areas of corporate development and commercialization of biopharma products. He has led a number of financial transactions, including licensing and M&A deals. Jim is working with several early-stage biopharma companies providing strategic consulting support and leadership contributions at the Board and CEO level.

Prior to joining RxC International, Jim served as President of EMD Serono, leading the company in consistent double-digit revenue gains. Prior to EMD Serono, he held leadership positions with several leading biopharma companies, including chief commercial officer and therapeutic area head at Serono, vice president of Marketing at Elan, and vice president of Managed Markets at Sanofi.

Jim has served on the Board of Directors of PhRMA, BIO (Health Section Governing Board), and MassBIO. Jim is also involved with several non-profit community service organizations in the greater Boston area and he serves on the Advisory Board for the Town of Hanover, MA.

Jim received a B.S. in Biology from Penn State University and has taken executive-level programs at leading universities, including MIT, Thunderbird / Garvin School of Management, Kellogg School of Management, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, and INSEAD.
